Caps and the gas reserve
Caps are enforced by code before a transaction is built. They are the organism's real promise, and they are in status.json so the Verify page can show them.
The four walls
| Wall | Default | What it stops |
|---|---|---|
Daily ceiling (maxBurnPerDayEth) | 0.05 ETH | All hooks together, per UTC day |
Order ceiling (maxOrderPctTreasury) | 25% | One order above a share of the spendable treasury |
Minimum order (minOrderEth) | 0.0005 ETH | Dust orders |
Cooldown (cooldownMin) | 30 min | The same hook firing twice in a row |
The price-impact wall (pool only)
In a Uniswap v4 pool a buy is cut down to the largest amount whose estimated price move stays within 4%. A thin pool therefore takes less than the hook ordered, and the journal records what was actually spent. Details in Graduation.
The gas reserve
0.002 ETH always stays in the wallet. The spendable treasury is treasury - 0.002. It keeps the wallet able to claim fees and to be rescued.
The arithmetic
spendable = treasury - gasReserve
daily = maxBurnPerDay - burnedToday
perOrder = spendable * maxOrderPct / 100
room = min(spendable, daily, perOrder)
Orders are filled in firing order from room; an order that would leave less than the minimum is skipped and the journal says why.
The mind and the caps
The model can only reduce an order (scale between 0 and 1). An order that falls under the minimum after trimming is held back. Caps never depend on a model answer.
Check them yourself
The lab reports, on every burn, whether the daily ceiling, the order ceiling, the minimum and the gas reserve held. The Verify page recomputes the daily ceiling from the journal and re-reads each burn transaction.
